Heal. Grow. Be Wild.

Please join us for Wild Wonderful Night at Chemung Hills Golf & Banquet Center!

Howell Nature Center’s wildlife rehabilitation clinic is one of the largest of its kind in Michigan. Each year, we treat approximately 2,000 injured and orphaned Michigan-native wildlife, providing life-saving care to give these animals a second chance. Big or small, all patients matter to us. While each patient is unique and has its own story, most of the wildlife that come to us in need of help have been harmed by human actions. We work tirelessly to undo this harm and to educate people about living in harmony with wildlife.

Our goal is always to rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned wildlife back into the wild, but sometimes animals are non-releasable because they would not be able to survive in the wild.  Our Wild Wonders Wildlife Park was created as a forever home for approximately 75 permanently injured wildlife ambassadors.  Our Michigan wildlife ambassadors help instill a reference for wildlife, teaching people why they matter and how to co-exist. In this way, they are truly serving as ambassadors for their species by helping to keep their wild counterparts safe. All funding to support the care of our patients and ambassadors is received through individuals, organizations, or grant opportunities.  We do not receive any state or federal funding. Without the kindness and generosity of our community, we would not be able to help wildlife.

This is our largest fundraising event and all proceeds go to the care of wildlife!

We need your help to continue being a sanctuary where wildlife can Heal, Grow, and Be Wild!
