A massive THANK YOU to the incredible team at @championchevroletofhowell for their amazing donation drive!

Their generosity has filled our clinic with essential supplies like blankets, specialized formula, and even a new incubator. These items are absolutely vital for the care and successful rehabilitation of our vulnerable patients.

Because of their support, more wildlife will get the second chance they deserve.

Thank you for being true Wildlife Champions!

🦝 Happy Raccoon Appreciation Day!

Did you know we have two raccoons? We have Rocket and Jett. They currently live separately but will hopefully live together soon!

Rocket was kept illegally as a pet by a member of the public, and is habituated to humans.

Jett has musculoskeletal abnormalities and is also habituated to humans. She became habituated because of the hands on care she needed while she was young.

Raccoons are wonderful creatures. Here are some of our favorite raccoon facts

🦝Raccoons have 5x the amount of nerves in their hands compared to humans, and can tell what they are eating solely by touch.
🦝Raccoons are Crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) but it is not uncommon to see them during the day. This is usually when mom goes out to forage while her babies are asleep.
🦝While Raccoons are a rabies vector species, there has NOT been a recorded case of raccoons having rabies in Michigan in over 28 years!

You can learn more about raccoons by visiting us! We are open 7 days a week 10-5pm every day! Check out our website for events!
