Chris Goins I didn't know you could have birthday parties here! Probably too late for this year but we should look into it for next year maybe.

🐜🌸 Witness the incredible teamwork of nature's tiny architects! Today at the Howell Nature Center, I captured an amazing video of a bustling ant colony where the ants were busy carrying beautiful flower petals. It's a mesmerizing sight!

Did you know? Ants are incredible foragers and play a crucial role in our ecosystem. These industrious creatures can carry objects many times their own weight and are vital in the processes of soil aeration and decomposition. Stay tuned as we explore more wonders of nature! Research has highlighted that certain species of ants can lift up to 50 times their body weight, with the neck joint of the common American field ant specifically designed to withstand pressures up to 5,000 times the ant’s own weight. This extraordinary strength is due to their light bodies and muscular structure, optimized for carrying heavy loads without the burden of supporting a large body mass like humans
